Empowerment Books for Men and WomenWhile men and women absolutely need to be treated as equals, we can't ignore the fact that they are different versions of the same species. Simply put, they often see the world differently and therefore experience different problems, either in physical, emotional or mental terms. This is why self help books for women are not necessarily the same as self help books for men. Some empowerment books can be helpful for both sexes, but depending on the problem, each gender may require a bit of special help.
Men are often taught to deal with their problems on their own. Our society tells men they shouldn't seek help, that it's an unmanly thing to do. Many self help books for men deal with this very predicament - we know, logically, that men experience just as many difficulties with life as women, and yet we tell them to solve them without the help of others. This is a reason self help books for men can be so beneficial. After all, they encourage self help.
Physically and sexually, men experience different troubles than women. It's often found that problems which seem based in the body, such as premature ejaculation or erectile dysfunction, tend to have a psychological basis. Many men find self help books for men beneficial in helping them to discover ways of dealing with these problems which don't involve taking a pill or undergoing some sort of invasive surgery.
Sexually, women may discover similar problems, just with different anatomy. Self help books for women can help them to see there's nothing inherently wrong with them if they're not feeling sexually aroused or are having difficulties climaxing. Society tries to portray women in a very sexual light in the media, with acts like Britney Spears and Playboy's "The Girls Next Door" constantly bombarding our senses. Self help books for women are great for letting a woman see her self-worth shouldn't be directly tied to her outer appearance.
Self help books for women are often empowerment books, because they help women to empower themselves in a world where they are often considered second-class citizens. However, empowerment books should not be lost on men. Empowerment simply means giving yourself the ability to deal with whatever life throws at you in an intelligent and effective manner. Empowerment books can help both men and women discover the strength within themselves to lead a happy and fulfilling life.In the end, self help books for women and self help books for men can all be considered personal empowerment books. While, on the surface, they may deal with different sorts of problems, they're both about assisting the individual in life improvement and personal development.
